Camembert (Origin Earth) OK. I'm not sure there's a better cam in NZ than this one when it's ripely oozing beneath it's savoury, almost crusty rind. It's earthy, tangy, rich and wild tasting. Get your mouth around it soon.
Camembert (Over the Moon Dairy) This is a darn good camembert! The recipe has been tweaked lately producing a rich savoury paste the softens just in time to be beautifully balanced by the oh-so-mild tang of the chalky rind. This cheese not only tastes good, it feels good to bite.

There's some of those delicious protein crystals you expect in a well aged cheese, and the sweet nuttiness common to gouda, but very little in the way of goaty-ness. It's a well balanced flavour, but I was hoping for some goat.

It's deceptive, this one, promising a lot with its mottled appearance, and delivering only the most subtle hint of blue.
